Hanwha Q.Cell

Q.PEAK DUO monocrystalline solar modules from Hanwha Q-Cell has a particularly high performance on a small surface area. Q-Cell features state-of-the-art circuitry, half cells and a six-busbar design. The residential 60-cell and the commercial 72-cell solar modules perform well in Alberta with low-intensity solar radiation during the winter months and also on hot, clear summer days.

These modules are tested for wind loads of up to 2,400 Pa and for snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa. The warranty information is shown below:

  • At least 98% of nominal power during first year. Thereafter max. 0.6% degradation per year.
  • At least 92.6% of nominal power up to 10 years. At least 83.6% of nominal power up to 25 years.


The high efficiency LG Neon R and LG Neon 2 solar modules come in 60-Cell and 72-Cell variants for residential and commercial applications respectively. LG solar modules boast high efficiencies (18.7%-21.1%) depending on the model and wattage.

The LG Neon R Modules with Back Contact Technology places all of the electrodes on the rear side of the module, resulting in an increase in module power and improvement in the temperature coefficient. There are no electrodes to shade the light on the front of the cell. Also, The electrical current is separated into many pathways, and therefore reducing the loss of electricity. Micro-cracks or finger electrode erosion occurs on the physical components of the cell due to normal or environmental degradation but because of the placement of wires the performance loss is reduced. These modules are designed to endure a front load of up to 6000 Pa, and a rear load of up to 5400 Pa.  Each module can handle a full ton of snow-load or withstand 330-kilometer-per-hour winds. The 25-year product and performance warranties ensure that the modules are guaranteed to produce at least 86% of their original power output after 25 years.

The LG Neon 2 Modules are the latest improvement by LG. The newly developed Cello Technology™” (Cell connection with Electrically Low loss, Low stress and Optical absorption enhancement), results in increases power output and improves appearance. With their double sided cell structure, these modules produce energy from both the front and back a therefore increasing efficiency in the mornings and evenings, when the angle of light is lower, as compared to conventional panels.
